Imara Roose Inc. is a 501(c)(3) volunteer-based mentoring program for girls of color, by women of color. Our mission is to empower black and brown girls with the necessary knowledge, skills, and social capital to break through systemic barriers and change their trajectory!

From 2012-2016, we hosted over 250 workshops, facilitated 10 field trips, and impacted over 100 black and brown girls! Learn more through the testimony below!

Imara Roose is passionate about inspiring, empowering, and uplifting black and brown women and girls. We remain committed to affecting needed change within our communities, and we will continue these efforts until we are no longer disproportionately marginalized, stigmatized, and victimized.

Until then, we remember our sisters, we celebrate their lives, and we will continue to say their names!
