Isha Jordan

Program Associate

"I was inspired to volunteer with Imara Roose because of their excellence and impact on black girls. As a black woman, it makes me proud seeing an organization that caters to our success, growth, and overall development. As a child, I was a part of an organization that prepared youth for college readiness, professional development, and overall success. Within that, I saw how imperative mentorship can be and how much of a difference it can make in one’s trajectory. As an advocate for social justice and education, I love that Imara Roose provides academic support in and beyond the classroom."

Isha Jordan, is an educator and policy advocate born and raised in Alexandria, VA by way of Prince George's County, hailing from Sierra Leone, West Africa. Through Imara Roose, Isha intends to serve as a vessel that continues to change the narrative for black girls—reminding society that they are strong, fierce, talented, passionate, and empowered! She believes young people need positive figures that will continue to motivate and build them into their excellence. Isha intends to inspire and make an impact in our community.
