"I was inspired to volunteer with Imara Roose because of their excellence and impact on black girls. As a black woman, it makes me proud seeing an organization that caters to our success, growth, and overall development. As a child, I was a part of an organization that prepared youth for college readiness, professional development, and overall success. Within that, I saw how imperative mentorship can be and how much of a difference it can make in one’s trajectory. As an advocate for social justice and education, I love that Imara Roose provides academic support in and beyond the classroom."
